| My wife and I are planning on going to Tallinn for Christmas, but would like to go to St Petersburg and Moscow while we’re out that way. We’d like to fly home from Moscow. What’s the best way to do this in eight days?

| I’m planning a trip through South America on my way home to Australia and want to get travel insurance that will take me back to Oz if something happens. Where can I get a policy that will cover me, at a good price?

| What are your thoughts on an overland trip starting in Tallinn, Estonia, passing through Latvia and Lithuania, hitting the main cities, and then finishing in Minsk, Belarus. Would a 10-day stint suffice?

| I’m planning on heading back to New Zealand next January and want to travel via Africa for a month to see gorillas and lions.
I then want to head to South America for seven months. What’s the cheapest way of doing this? South Africa and Brazil look close on a map — are there any cheap flights between them? Or would it be best to fly from London to Africa, fly back to London, and then head to Auckland via Santiago? Also if you only had one month to see animals in Africa, where would be the best bet?

Carolin Schneider via email wrote: Friends of mine want to travel to Iceland for two weeks, spending as little money as possible and starting with a cheap flight from Dublin or London. They want to see Reykjavík, Vatnajökull, Mývatn, the island of Grímsey, Gullfoss, Haukadalur and Þingvellir National Park. Could you give them a hand?
